Turkish Competition Authority dished out penalties to 4 feed producers on the grounds that they distorted competition. Abalıoğlu Yem, C.P. Standart Gıda, Erişler Yem and Matlı Yem will pay a fine of ~11 million dollars in total.

The Competition Authority sentenced four companies to administrative fines, which it accused of setting prices in an agreed-upon way. It was decided that there was no penalty for the other three companies, for which no evidence could be found that they violated the law.
Accordingly, Abalıoğlu Yem Sanayi A.Ş. shall pay 40,516 thousand TRY; C.P. Standart Gıda San. ve Tic. A.Ş. shall pay 44,780 thousand TRY, Matlı Yem Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. shall pay 58,392 thousand TRY and Erişler Yem San. ve Tic. A.Ş. shall pay 15,702 thousand TRY as administrative fines. Competition Board returned an acquittal for Gürsoy Yem Gıda ve Hayvancılık San. Tic. A.Ş., E.R. Yem Gıda Tarım Ürünleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Rtm Tarım Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. on the grounds that there were no information and documents regarding the violation of competition.
The company representatives had claimed that the product types and analysis values of the companies were different from each other and it was not possible to determine a common price.
