Seeking to diversify supply chains and reduce heavy reliance on the Black Sea region, the Turkish Feed Manufacturers' Association (TÜRKİYEMBİR) and Argentina's CIARA-CEC convened in an online bilateral meeting to enhance raw material trade. With Argentina currently accounting for just 2.8% of Türkiye's 22.3 million tonnes of feed ingredient imports, both parties highlighted the complementary nature of their counter-seasonal harvest calendars and identified emerging opportunities in sunflower meal.

Turkey’s grain, pulses, oilseeds, and processed products sector generated $6.9 billion in exports during the first seven months of the year, backed by a 6.5% rise in unit export values to $1.1/kg. Sunflower oil remained the top export driver with $769.3 million, up 21.2% year-on-year.
