Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy, Eurasia Chairman of IAOM, emphasized that a challenging period awaits the feed sector due to logistical tensions in the Black Sea and the heatwave striking Europe. Highlighting a 9 million-ton crop loss in the EU and a surging corn deficit reaching 23 million tons, Ulusoy drew attention to impending global price volatility.

The “4th IAOM Eurasia Conference & Exhibition,” one of the most important gatherings of the global grain industry organized by IAOM (International Association of Operative Millers) Eurasia Region, opened at Istanbul Hilton Bomonti Hotel under the theme “The Role of Women in Agriculture.” In his opening speech, IAOM Eurasia President Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy said: “FAO’s grain price index peaked at 173 in May 2022. By July 2025, it had fallen to 106, its lowest level since October 2020. The decline in food inflation is promising for consumers.”
