Turkey’s poultry sector growth is set to keep corn imports strong in MY 2025-26, with traders expecting 2.5–3.5 million mt mainly from Black Sea suppliers. Domestic output may fall short of demand due to hot, dry weather, keeping Ukrainian and possibly Russian corn in focus depending on export policies.

A tariff quota has been introduced for corn, a key raw material in feed production. While customs duties on 1 million tons of corn will be zero until July 31, 2025, importers will face certain restrictions.

A Presidential Decree published in Turkey’s Official Gazette today allows the import of 1 million tons of corn at a 5% customs duty until the end of the year.
