Turkey
emerged as the largest importer of Ukrainian corn in 2025, accounting for more
than 30% of total exports. Customs-based data highlight Turkey’s growing weight
in Black Sea corn trade and its willingness to pay among the highest prices.
Turkey imported 5.41 million tons of corn from Ukraine during the 2025 calendar year, becoming the country’s single biggest buyer. According to AgroDigest data based on customs statistics, the average export price to Turkey reached $219.1 per tonne, one of the highest levels among major destinations.

Italy ranked second, importing 2.82 million tons, equal to 15.7% of total Ukrainian corn exports, at an average price of $208.8 per tonne. Spain followed with 1.7 million tons and a 9.4% share, paying an average of $209.3 per tonne.
Other significant buyers included the Netherlands, which purchased 1.46 million tons at $215.4 per tonne, and Egypt with 1.31 million tons at an average price of $207.6 per tonne. In Asia, South Korea remained the leading destination, importing 765,900 tons, while Libya closed the list of major buyers with 643,500 tons.
The data are compiled by UkrAgroConsult through its AgriSupp platform, which provides market intelligence, trade flows and pricing analysis for global grain and oilseed markets, with a strong focus on the Black Sea region.
In Turkey, corn production in recent years has generally ranged between 8 and 9 million tons, while domestic demand hovers around 12 million tons. The majority of imported corn is used in feed production.
