Following the near-completion of the 2026 crop purchasing campaign, Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has officially transitioned to its market stabilization strategy. Starting 1 September 2026, the state grain board will offer its licensed warehouse stocks on the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX - TÜRİB) without buyer restrictions.

Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced the commencement of wheat sales via the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX – TÜRİB) as of 1 September 2026. The decision comes as the 2026 domestic purchasing process reaches its final stages and local harvest activity subsides across key agricultural regions. Under the new directive, grain stored in TMO’s licensed warehouse network will be released to the market daily in quantities determined by regional supply dynamics and broader domestic and international market conditions.

The sales will be open to all individuals and corporate entities without restriction, aiming to address processing sector requirements and maintain market equilibrium. The state board reaffirmed its intention to execute its regulatory mandated role proactively throughout the upcoming marketing year.
