Tiryaki Agro continues to grow in the organic agricultural products market. The company's Canada-based subsidiary, Sunrise Foods International, announced the acquisition of a majority stake in organic feed producer Ozark Organics. Located in Buffalo, Missouri, USA, Ozark Organics operates an organic feed factory that began production in 2019, using organic corn and organic soybean meal as key ingredients in its specialized feed formulations.
Commenting on the matter, Tiryaki Agro CEO Süleyman Tiryakioğlu said: "We are experiencing a proud development in the global organic agricultural products market. Sunrise Foods, which joined our group in 2018, holds a dominant position in North America with a 25% market share in organic agricultural products, far ahead of its competitors. In August, Sunrise Foods further strengthened its presence in the same market by acquiring one of the leading organic feed producers in the U.S., Ozark Organics, thus stepping into organic feed production and moving closer to the end consumer. Through this acquisition, Sunrise Foods aims to provide high-quality organic feed products, particularly to egg producers in the Midwest region of the U.S. This strategic move is of great importance for Sunrise Foods International in solidifying its presence in the organic feed industry."
