Louis Dreyfus-led joint venture finalizes key phase at Guangzhou, China

The Fuling Food Industrial Park in Guangzhou, a joint venture between Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Donlink Holding Group, and Guangdong HAID Group, has completed its first construction phase. This development aims to enhance the feed protein production and processing capacity in the region.

The 180,000m2 industrial park, strategically situated in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is poised to significantly impact China's feed sector. With an annual soy processing capacity of 1,800,000 tons and the capability to produce 360,000 tons of vegetable oil, the facility is expected to serve the ever-growing demands of China's expanding population. The plant is designed to focus on plant-based food products and ingredients that align with current consumer demands for quality and nutrition.

Additionally, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability, the facility has entered into an agreement to utilize 100% green electricity from its inception. Jerrity Chen, Chairman of Fuling Food Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized the venture's dedication to serving the domestic market with diversified products while integrating innovation across the food and agricultural value chains. Meanwhile, Guanghao LAI of DONLINK Group highlighted the transformation in grains and oils processing this collaboration aims to bring, leveraging DONLINK's expertise in the sector.
