EW Nutrition appoints experienced leader Jan Vanbrabant as its new CEO, succeeding Michael Gerrits who retires after six years at the helm.

EW Nutrition, a foremost global player in functional animal nutrition, is thrilled to onboard Jan Vanbrabant as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a PhD in microbiology, Jan is no stranger to the animal health and nutrition sector. His seasoned leadership can be traced back to his roles at DSM, Erber Group, Biomin, and Kemin.

Jan Wesjohann, Managing Director of the parent company, EW Group, remarked, “We are very pleased that we have found a strong management lead in Jan, who embodies the philosophy of EW Nutrition”. He added, “EW Nutrition is an innovation-driven company, with intensive investment in R&D. Together with Jan we are looking to usher in the next growth phase of EW Nutrition.”

Sharing his enthusiasm, Jan Vanbrabant stated, “I am very excited to be joining the EW Nutrition team. EW Nutrition’s enduring commitment has carved out a highly competitive portfolio. We are ideally placed to assist our customers navigate the evolving challenges of the animal health and nutrition landscape.”

As Jan takes the reins, the previous CEO Michael Gerrits will be stepping into retirement after a commendable six-year tenure at EW Nutrition. Jan Wesjohann expressed his gratitude, saying, “I want to thank Michael Gerrits for his pivotal role in elevating the company to greater heights.”
