IFEEDER has released new sustainability materials developed in collaboration with key stakeholders. These resources aim to enhance measurement, reporting, and verification efforts within the animal food industry.

The Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER) has unveiled new tools as part of its ongoing efforts to advance sustainability within the animal food industry. These resources, created in partnership with the Context Network and the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC), include findings from a landscape assessment of industry practices and a database on the impact of novel feed ingredients on animal performance.

“These resources are designed to address the need for efficient, and effective tools for measuring, reporting and verifying sustainability efforts,” stated Lara Moody, IFEEDER executive director. The initiative, which is part of the second phase of IFEEDER's Sustainability Road Map, focuses on aligning data measurement, improving life cycle assessments, and evaluating innovations in feed ingredients and additives.

The new materials are additions to the Animal Food Industry Sustainability Toolkit, available for free to AFIA members and IFEEDER donors, and for purchase by nonmembers.

IFEEDER which is founded in 2009 by the AFIA (American Feed Industry Association), advances education and research in the animal food industry, supporting efforts to ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable food supply.
