Industry leaders and regulators gathered at the 17th International Feed Regulators Meeting (IFRM) to address critical issues in the global feed sector, emphasizing collaboration for sustainable solutions.

The 17th IFRM, hosted by IFIF and FAO, saw an exchange of ideas on challenges facing the feed industry. Discussions centered on topics like circular feed sources and regulatory updates from various regions.

Emphasizing collaboration between public and private sectors, IFIF Chairman Ruud Tijssens highlighted “unique public-private voluntary guidelines on assessment of feed ingredients by ICCF, as well as important science-based work on nutritional solutions with the objective to reduce the need for antibiotics, which has been developed to make adequate legislation possible.” Daniela Battaglia, Animal Production Officer, Animal Production and Health Division of the FAO, stressed the importance of stakeholder dialogue in promoting responsible and sustainable animal production.
