Marking a strategic transition in European feed ingredient leadership, the FEFANA (the EU Association of Specialty Feed Ingredients and their Mixtures) Board of Directors has elected Alexandre Cevallos as its new President for a two-year term, succeeding Adisseo’s Dr. Séverine Deschandelliers.
Alexandre Cevallos
An international executive with a solid scientific and business background, Alexandre draws on more than 25 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing, quality and regulatory affairs across the flavour & fragrance, feed additives, beauty and pharmaceutical industries. Since 2015, he has served as Technical Director for Lucta SA, a global leader in sensory and feed additive solutions, and brings wide leadership experience in European and international trade associations.
Alexandre Cevallos stated “I am honored FEFANA’s Board have placed their trust in me and I would like to thank my predecessor, Séverine Deschandelliers, for her outstanding leadership and contribution to FEFANA over the past six years.
“I look forward to serving the interests of FEFANA members and taking the industry forward at this crucial time as we face growing convergence of multiple geopolitical risks, regulatory complexity, and competitiveness pressures while continuing to demonstrate and promote our essential contribution to sustainable livestock production through innovation, animal health, resource efficiency and reduced environmental impact.”
The Board of Directors expressed their deep appreciation to the outgoing President Séverine Deschandelliers for her very successful presidential term, leading FEFANA through some major changes and developments in our sector.
Cevallos takes the helm at a critical juncture for the European specialty feed industry. As the EU pushes forward with stringent Green Deal targets, microplastic restrictions, and tighter feed additive re-evaluation frameworks, specialty feed ingredients are increasingly positioned not just as nutritional supplements, but as primary drivers for livestock decarbonization and methane reduction.
