BTSA obtains the Non-GMO Project certification for its products

Last October, BTSA, the leading European company in natural antioxidants, natural Vitamin E and Omega 3, obtained the Non-GMO Project verified certification for its main product ranges Tocobiol and Nutrabiol. In this way, the company continues its commitment to growth in the United States and Canadian markets.

Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization that focuses on educating consumers of products containing genetically modified organisms. The organization began as an initiative of natural food retailers in the United States and Canada, with the objective of labelling food in accordance with its standards. The stated mission of Non-GMO Project is to preserve and create non-GMO product sources, educate consumers and provide verified options for non-GMO products. In addition, it provides verification and labelling of third parties for food and non-genetically modified products. The project also works with food manufacturers, distributors, producers and seed suppliers to develop standards for the detection of genetically modified organisms and to reduce the risk of contaminating the supply of food not genetically modified with genetically modified organisms. The verification process was rigorous but as expected, BTSA’s natural antioxidants and vitamin E passed the verification process and are already part of the list of products verified by Non-GMO Project. With this new certification, the company, which in June 2018 opened its subsidiary in the United States, goes one step further in its efforts to promote natural ingredients in the US and Canadian food, nutraceutical, cosmetic, and pet food industries.
