19 August 20262 min reading

Alltech has reshaped its U.S. specialty ingredients division with a new leadership structure designed to align commercial execution across major animal protein sectors. By appointing dedicated general managers for dairy, beef, poultry, pork, and feed mills, the global animal nutrition leader aims to accelerate technical innovation and navigate complex agricultural value chains over the coming decade.

Alltech has announced a strategic evolution of its U.S. specialty ingredients business, appointing Andy Rash as vice president of U.S. specialty ingredients. Rash brings over twenty years of agricultural industry experience spanning animal nutrition, international business development, and grain value chains to helm the new structure.

The reorganization establishes dedicated commercial leadership across primary protein segments and supply channels. Dr. Luke Miller takes over as general manager for U.S. dairy, drawing on extensive background in large animal veterinary practice and multi-site dairy operations. Laurentia van Rensburg assumes the role of general manager for U.S. beef, supported by fifteen years of international livestock and animal science experience. Dr. Curtis Novak leads U.S. poultry operations following academic and commercial nutrition roles, while Mark Hulsebus manages U.S. pork backed by two decades of modern production and senior Cargill experience. Additionally, CJ Tanderup oversees national and regional mills and co-ops, and Jim Bannerman directs national accounts.

According to Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech, the structural shift is engineered to anticipate emerging market challenges and enhance customer partnerships. "This structure sets us up to serve our customers with agility for the next five to 10 years and beyond," said Lyons. "It is not enough to solve today's challenges. We must anticipate what comes next, accelerate innovation and ensure we are positioned to meet our customers' needs as they emerge." All appointments across the Lexington-based organization are effective immediately.
