Adisseo rolls out partnership program to advance amino acid balancing in dairy nutrition

Bold precision feeding based on amino acid balancing is gaining renewed momentum as dairy producers face mounting pressure to improve efficiency, profitability, and environmental performance. Adisseo’s new partnership program aims to accelerate adoption by equipping feed mills and farmers with practical formulation tools and proven nutritional solutions.

Dairy farmers are under increasing pressure to produce more milk with fewer inputs while reducing nitrogen losses, safeguarding herd health, and maintaining long-term profitability. Amino acid balancing combined with precision feeding has emerged as a practical response to these challenges, yet many dairy rations worldwide remain inadequately balanced at the amino acid level.

Adisseo, a global leader in amino acid balancing for dairy nutrition, has announced the launch of a new partnership program designed to facilitate broader and more effective use of amino acid-balanced formulations. The initiative focuses on translating scientific know-how into applied nutrition strategies that can be implemented at feed mill and farm level.

Central to the program is tailored collaboration with feed mills, including access to cost-effective sources of protected liquid methionine and formulation guidance aimed at producing optimized compound feeds. At farm level, the program supports ration strategies intended to improve milk performance while lowering nitrogen excretion and environmental impact.

Economic benefits are also a key driver. An IFCN evaluation of 18 typical European dairy farms across nine countries estimated that adopting amino acid balancing could increase annual income by €293 per cow. Adisseo emphasizes that clear communication of these financial gains is essential across the dairy value chain, from nutritionists and farmers to milk processors.

Amino acid balancing has been applied in dairy nutrition for more than three decades, supported by extensive research programs conducted by Adisseo in collaboration with leading universities, and has consistently demonstrated improvements in milk yield, milk components, cow longevity, and reproductive performance.
