The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has opened two separate import tenders within a short period to strengthen the supply of feed raw materials. The agency plans to procure a total of 455,000 tons of feed barley and feed corn.

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has launched a significant import program aimed at the feed market. The agency will hold a tender on March 13, 2026 for the import of 175,000 tons of feed barley, followed by another tender on March 16 for 280,000 tons of feed corn. Together, the two tenders will secure a total of 455,000 tons of feed raw materials.

According to the import program, the feed barley shipments will be distributed as 25,000 tons each to the ports of Iskenderun, Adana (Yumurtalık), Mersin, İzmir and Bandırma, while Tekirdağ will receive 10,000 tons and Samsun and Trabzon 20,000 tons each. Feed corn imports are planned at 100,000 tons for İzmir, 75,000 tons for Bandırma, 25,000 tons for Samsun, and 80,000 tons for the Karasu/Derince corridor.

Under the program, loading and deliveries are expected to begin in late March and be completed by mid-April. Deliveries will be made on a CFR basis to warehouses or free zones.

TMO’s recent procurement activities extend beyond these tenders. On February 26, the agency also opened a tender for the import of 350,000 tons of feed corn. With the latest tenders, the total volume of feed raw material imports planned in a short period has exceeded 800,000 tons. In Türkiye, TMO periodically intervenes in the market through import tenders to balance feed costs and support the supply of raw materials for the livestock sector.
