The official announcement is as follows:

“On behalf of the Organising Committees for the Poultry Information Exchange (PIX) and the Australasian Milling Conference (AMC), and our conference organiser International Conferences & Events (ICE), we would like to announce a major decision we have had to make. Due to the continuing movement restrictions we are unable to hold the international conference PIX/AMC has grown to be.

The international movement restrictions combined with the continuing company-based restrictions imposed on staff aided the Organising Committee in making the tough decision to further postpone PIX/AMC until May 2022.”

“The ongoing safety of our partners, exhibitors, attendees and organisers are paramount to us. As such this delay will allow for control mechanisms like the vaccine to be rolled out domestically and internationally.”

“In discussing our options with many stakeholders, exhibitors and attendees, the Organising Committee feels it has made the correct decision to deliver a conference that will meet the needs and expectations of all involved.”

“The conference team is extremely appreciative of the support that your company continues to commit to PIX/AMC and looks forward to your ongoing support as we go through these extraordinary events. We are pleased to say the event will be retained at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre and all payments made to-date will be carried forward to the 2022 event.”

“More information will be released in due course as the planning for PIX/AMC 2022 gets underway.”
