Interview: Namık Kemal parlak
The feed industry is facing increasing demands for higher efficiency, faster processes, and sustainable solutions. Meeting those challenges requires not only advanced technology but also streamlined organizations with a clear identity and focus. For PTN (Pelleting Technology Netherlands), part of the Triott Group, this means preparing for a fundamental change in the way the business is structured and presented to the market.

As of January 2026, PTN, Almex, IVS and Inteqnion will operate under a single name: Ottevanger. This consolidation is designed to simplify cooperation across the group, increase operational efficiency, and offer customers one clear, reliable point of contact. In this interview, Marty van Benthum explains the rationale behind the transition, the benefits it will bring for both customers and employees, and how Ottevanger is positioning itself for long-term growth and competitiveness in the global feed industry.
Triott Group recently launched a “transition”. What does this transition involve, and how will it change the way the group operates?
Within the Triott Group there are several companies active in the feed sector. Ottevanger, with a history dating back to 1909, is one of them. PTN has been part of Triott since 2013, alongside Almex, IVS and Inteqnion. From 2026, these feed-related companies will no longer operate under separate names but will continue together as Ottevanger. Triott itself will remain as the holding company, while TSC Silos, which serves different markets, will stay outside this integration and continue under its own name.

For us at PTN, this means we will no longer operate under our own brand name but as Ottevanger. The same applies to Almex, IVS and Inteqnion. The purpose of this step is to bring all feed activities together in one organisation with a clear identity, making cooperation easier internally and offering customers one recognisable point of contact.
Does that mean some companies will merge or close?
Yes, but this is above all a positive development. For our customers, this means more clarity, faster processes and even better support. By bringing production activities together at fewer locations in the Netherlands, we can operate more efficiently and sustainably. It is important to stress that this transition is not about cutting jobs. All our people remain part of this journey, and their knowledge and experience are central to everything we do. This transformation is about creating a stronger, more connected organization in which our people can work even better together. Ultimately, it is their expertise, creativity and dedication that make the real difference for our customers.

And how is this transition progressing at the moment?
At this stage, our focus is fully on strengthening the Ottevanger brand worldwide. From 1 January 2026, all our companies will operate under one single name: Ottevanger.
Right now, a lot is happening behind the scenes to make sure this transition is seamless. We are aligning processes, moving teams and equipment, and developing one shared way of working. All these preparations ensure that, when we officially launch under the Ottevanger name, our customers will immediately benefit from the clarity and strength of a united organization. With this step, we are future-proofing our company and creating a platform for further growth and innovation. By combining the strengths of all our people and technologies, Ottevanger is ready to serve the feed industry worldwide with solutions that are smarter, faster and more sustainable.
This is a major transition. Do you expect difficulties in meeting delivery deadlines or customer service during the process?
Of course, during such a big move there can always be minor issues. But the important point is that we have prepared this transition very carefully. We are making sure that production and service continue without disruption, and if something unexpected does occur, we will take full responsibility and solve it quickly and transparently. Customers should not notice any difference, because reliability has always been one of Ottevanger’s core values, and that will not change.

Over the years, Ottevanger and Triott have made several acquisitions. Do you expect new acquisitions in the near future?
That is not something I can say for sure. What I do know is that the shareholders, who are now in their mid-fifties, are still very active and closely involved in the business. They bring decades of knowledge and experience, and they continue to travel, meet customers and explore new opportunities. Their engagement keeps Ottevanger dynamic and future-oriented.
Some international competitors are building production facilities in Asia. Do you have similar plans?
No, we have no such plans. One of our unique strengths is that all our machines and solutions are designed and manufactured in the Netherlands. This is not only about efficiency and quality control, it is part of our heritage and identity. We firmly believe in the value of “Made in the Netherlands”: it stands for craftsmanship, durability and reliability. By keeping production close to our engineering and innovation teams, we safeguard the high standards that our customers expect. Instead of moving production abroad, we invest in innovation, digitalization and sustainability here in Europe because that is what will truly make the difference for our customers worldwide.
