The seasoned feed industry executive takes over leadership of Italy's national animal feed producers group, pledging to address sector challenges through innovation and international cooperation.
Massimo Zanin
Massimo Zanin, Business Director of leading Italian feed manufacturer Mangimi Veronesi, has been elected President of Assalzoo, Italy's National Association of Animal Feed Producers. The transition took effect in June following an ordinary assembly that renewed the association's governing bodies.
"It is a great honor to represent the Italian feed industry, in which I've spent much of my professional life," Zanin commented upon his election. With over 30 years in feed production and 20 years serving on Assalzoo's board, Zanin brings deep industry expertise to the role.
Outgoing President Silvio Ferrari expressed confidence in his successor: "The challenges facing our sector are numerous, especially for feed production at the intersection of primary production and industrial transformation. I'm certain Massimo will achieve the association's objectives with his vision and dedication."

Zanin’s key priorities include strengthening international ties through FEFAC (European Feed Manufacturers' Federation) and advancing Italy's FeedEconomy initiative linking feed to livestock production.
The Veronesi Group executive takes leadership as Italy maintains its position as the EU's third-largest feed producer, with annual production exceeding 17 million tons.
