The IDMA Global Grain & Milling Forum will take place alongside IDMA Istanbul 2026 on June 25-27 under the theme “Resilient Trade, Innovative Milling,” bringing together senior industry leaders from across the global grain, milling and food value chain. Designed as a strategic platform for market insight and cross-sector dialogue, the 2-day forum will address key themes shaping global trade flows, food security and industrial transformation.

Within this wider framework, Session 4, “Feed for the Future,” scheduled for June 26, stands out as a central discussion point for the industry. The session will focus on global grain demand in animal production systems, the growing role of plant-based and alternative proteins in feed formulations, and regional demand patterns across Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. Precision feeding technologies and efficiency-driven production models will also be a key area of focus, highlighting how digitalization and innovation are reshaping feed conversion performance and resource use.

The session brings together internationally experienced voices, including Pedro Nonay, with decades of global grain and oilseed market experience; Alexander Döring, Secretary General of FEFAC, offering a European industry and policy perspective; and Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Şenköylü, representing Türkiye’s academic and institutional expertise in animal nutrition. A senior representative from the Turkish feed industry will also contribute, adding practical insights from one of the region’s strongest production bases.

The IDMA Global Grain & Milling Forum and IDMA Istanbul 2026 together create a unique international meeting point for trade, technology and policy. Feed Planet readers are warmly invited to attend IDMA, the forum, and especially the “Feed for the Future” session, which directly addresses the structural transformation of global feed systems and their role in securing sustainable protein production for the future.
