FEFAC has opened early bird registrations for its 69th Public Annual Meeting, focusing on a competitive and sustainable EU livestock economy. The event will feature high-level panels, a FAO-FEFAC workshop, and discussions on transatlantic green feed trade and circular feed innovations.
The European Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (FEFAC) will host its 69th Public Annual Meeting on 29 May 2025 in Rome, Italy, at the prestigious Villa Aurelia. This year’s theme, “New EU vision for a more competitive and sustainable livestock economy & outlook on transatlantic green feed trade,” will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore innovative solutions for the feed and livestock sectors.
A highlight of the event is the FAO-FEFAC workshop, titled “FAO and European Feed Sector Perspective for the Uptake of Sustainable, Safe, and More Circular Feed Solutions for the Transformation of European Livestock and Aquaculture Farms.” Held at the FAO Headquarters, the workshop will address sustainable feed practices and their role in advancing the bioeconomy.

The meeting will feature two high-level panel sessions moderated by environmental journalist Andrea Bertaglio and FEFAC Deputy Secretary General Anton van den Brink. Discussions will focus on the EU’s vision for sustainable livestock and aquaculture, the potential of circular feed ingredients, and the challenges of implementing the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in transatlantic trade.
FEFAC President Pedro Cordero emphasized the sector’s commitment to the FEFAC Sustainability Charter 2030, stating, “Despite geopolitical tensions and challenges to free trade, it is important to remain proactive and explore the opportunities for sustainable trade, capitalising on the investments of compound feed manufacturers in innovative animal nutrition solutions.”
Early bird registrations are now open for the event, which runs from 08:30 to 13:30 CET. For feed industry professionals, this meeting offers a critical platform to engage with the latest trends, regulations, and innovations shaping the future of sustainable feed and livestock production.
