De Heus has inaugurated a state-of-the-art marine R&D facility at its Vinh Long Aqua Research and Development Center. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to advancing aqua nutrition through innovation.

Global animal nutrition company De Heus officially launched its new marine R&D facility at the Vinh Long Aqua Research and Development Center in Vietnam last July. The 5.5-hectare site now includes two new systems dedicated to developing nutritional innovations for crustaceans and marine species, such as Asian sea bass.

Koen de Heus, CEO of De Heus Animal Nutrition, praised the collaborative efforts of the Vietnamese and global R&D teams. "This new facility will enhance our global expertise in aqua farming, benefiting our shrimp and marine fish customers. The aqua R&D team in Vietnam supports our business worldwide with their expertise and trials," de Heus stated during the inauguration.

Johan van den Ban, General Director De Heus Vietnam, highlighted the company's dedication to the Vietnamese shrimp industry, noting, "This investment again shows our commitment towards our customers in Vietnam and beyond."

Dr. Alexandros Samartzis, Nutrition and Support Director Asia, expressed enthusiasm for showcasing the new facility to customers and partners, aiming to discuss sustainable nutritional solutions. Dr. Dylan Tien, Head of Global Aquaculture R&D, added, "With this strategic investment and our experienced research team, we are confident that the Aquaculture R&D Center will provide comprehensive nutritional solutions and add new value, contributing to the success of aquaculture farmers in Vietnam and globally."
