Brenntag, a global leader in chemical and ingredient distribution, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art facility in Mouscron, Belgium, enhancing its capacity for animal nutrition solutions. This expansion aims to improve delivery capabilities and accommodate larger purchasing volumes across Western Europe.

Brenntag has launched a new facility dedicated to animal nutrition products in Mouscron, Belgium. The facility, which became operational in September 2024, represents a significant investment in Brenntag’s production and logistics capabilities. The new site features advanced mixing and blending technology, including products based on ‘Neubacid Soft’ technology, which supports non-antibiotic diets without compromising safety and efficacy.

The Mouscron facility’s strategic location enhances its logistical advantages, being close to key ports, highways, and customers. This positioning is expected to boost Brenntag’s ability to meet the needs of customers in France, BeNeLux, the UK & Ireland, and the DACH region. The new facility also consolidates mixing and blending capabilities, although the site in Grez-en-Bouère, France, will continue to serve as a central storage hub for the French animal nutrition sector.

“Our new state-of-the-art Animal Nutrition facility allows us to fulfill the needs of our customers in France, BeNeLux, UK & Ireland, and DACH region quantitatively and qualitatively and not only today, but also in the future,” said Wouter Vullings, Director Animal Nutrition EMEA at Brenntag. “Mouscron is the ideal location for us due to its geographical location and proximity to many of our customers.”

The Mouscron facility has been built to meet the highest quality standards and has already received GMP+ certification, ensuring that it adheres to the stringent requirements of the animal nutrition industry. This expansion is expected to strengthen Brenntag’s flexibility and capacity, especially beneficial during times of raw material shortages.
