Andritz launches food and feed research hub in Netherlands

Andritz has inaugurated the Food Innovation Xperience center in Waddinxveen, The Netherlands. This center will serve as a pivotal point where Andritz experts and industry stakeholders collaborate for the food and feed sectors.

The international technology group Andritz has rolled out a test and research center tailored for the food and feed industry in Waddinxveen, The Netherlands. The Food Innovation Xperience center is envisioned as a development and technology nexus, fostering collaboration between customers and Andritz professionals. Spanning 850 m2, this facility boasts technologies from Andritz, offering an environment for feasibility studies, pilot plant testing, and R&D activities.

Marco Buis, Managing Director at Andritz Gouda B.V., underscored the importance of the venture: “It is essential to act quickly and scale-up new ideas. Our Food Innovation Xperience center offers customers the opportunity to determine the best possible manufacturing process for their need, building on latest technologies and line solutions as well as expert support from Andritz.”

While catering to conventional feed tests, the center also delves into next-gen domains such as alternative proteins and extraction techniques. The establishment of the Food Innovation Xperience center reinforces commitment for sustainable and efficient production methodologies in the feed industry.
