Adisseo’s Burgos plant in Spain celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025 with a year of events recognizing the people, partners and local community behind its success. The milestone highlights the site’s strategic role in innovation, regional economy and the company’s global feed additives supply.
Adisseo has commemorated the Burgos plant’s half-century milestone under the theme “Thank you for being part of this story.” Throughout 2025, the company organized special activities to honor its history, including visits from former employees who were involved in its construction, family open-days with more than 400 participants, and meetings with academics from the University of Burgos. The initiatives aimed to reinforce employee pride and acknowledge decades of collaboration.

“Celebrating Burgos’ 50th anniversary is a unique opportunity to bring together all those who have contributed, directly or indirectly, to our site’s development. To each of them, I want to say thank you and congratulations for your commitment and your contribution to Adisseo’s mission,” stated Gerardo Juez, Plant Manager.
The flagship moment of the year came in September with an official ceremony attended by top leaders from Adisseo, Bluestar and Sinochem Group, including Sinochem President Li FanRong and Adisseo CEO Zhigang Hao. Local government officials praised the site’s industrial and economic importance for Castilla y León.
“Throughout Adisseo’s long history, the Burgos Plant has held irreplaceable value… Looking ahead, the Burgos Plant will remain a cornerstone of Adisseo’s global strategy,” said Zhigang Hao during the event.
Built in the 1970s and fully operational since 1990, Burgos is recognized as a key European hub for feed additives, underlining Adisseo’s continuous commitments to sustainability, innovation and long-term industrial investment.
