Utrix has expanded its Middle East and Africa portfolio with the introduction of BactiCid®NG and six new liquid feed solutions for poultry producers in Lebanon. The launch, marked by a customer event in Beirut, highlighted the company’s focus on gut health, precision nutrition and antibiotic-free performance.

Utrix presented its latest innovations during a gathering in Beirut, where international poultry expert Dr. Maarten De Gussem outlined rising challenges in enteric health and the shift away from antibiotic growth promoters. He emphasized the need for improved diagnostics, natural solutions and data-driven management as the industry confronts bacterial enteritis and evolving performance demands.

At the event, UTRIX introduced BactiCid®NG, a next-generation additive combining tributyrin with encapsulated essential oils. Product Manager Valerie Daher explained that the patented UtriCAPS microencapsulation technology delivers controlled intestinal release, improving microbiota balance and supporting performance in antibiotic-free systems. Company trials showed higher protection of active ingredients compared with competitor technologies, ensuring activity throughout the gastrointestinal tract.

Alongside BactiCid®NG, the company launched six liquid drinking-water solutions—UtriCool, UtriRespi, UtriCalm, UtriShell L, UtriCid®DW and KleenTox®DW—designed for rapid intervention when feed intake drops due to heat stress or health issues. These solutions are now available across the MEA region and were showcased at VIV MEA in Abu Dhabi.
