Minister of Agriculture Pakdemirli announced that the Turkish Grain Board has put up 800 thousand tons of grain for sale this month.
Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli stated that the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has put up 800 thousand tons of grain for sale in September. In his statement, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Pakdemirli stated that the sales of bread wheat started for poultry breeders and its producers (such as white meat, eggs), flour, bulgur, and biscuit factories with an advance price of 2,475-2,525 liras per ton.
Pakdemirli stated that the sale of durum wheat started for bulgur factories with a cash price of 2,550-2,650 liras per ton, and added: "Barley sales will continue with cash payments of 2 thousand liras for breeders and 2,050 liras for feed factories. Applications for barley and wheat sales will be received on 6-15 September 2021. All kinds of measures will continue to be taken for market statistics."
245,000 TON BARLEY PURCHASE TENDER
TMO, which plays a regulatory role due to its position, went out to tender for the purchase of 245 thousand tons of barley at the beginning of the month. The deadline for the price offer is announced as 7 September, and the shipping period as 15 September-8 October. Consignments of between 20,000 and 25,000 tonnes are sought for unloading in the Turkish ports of Derince, Iskenderun, Mersin, Izmir, Bandirma, Tekirdag, Samsun and Trabzon.
