Türkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced the upcoming meeting, stating that numerous efforts are underway to ensure sustainable management of the national agricultural sector. Speaking at the “Sustainable Agriculture and Water Resources Management Summit” organized by Dünya newspaper, Yumaklı said, “We plan to hold our Agriculture and Forestry Council meeting in April 2025.”
Minister Yumaklı emphasized the importance of uniting all stakeholders to unlock the agricultural and food sectors’ potential in a spirit of shared consensus. He noted that the council aims to serve as a strong reference source for the Ministry’s future policies. “The first council meeting was held in 1997, the second in 2004, and the third in 2019. In this year’s meeting, we aim to discuss the challenges that lie ahead for agriculture and forestry over the next ten years and to develop new strategies,” Yumaklı added.
