F.A.S.T. Lab., one of the most advanced laboratory in Turkey’s feed additive sector, which has been operating under Kartal Kimya for years, has been accredited in the Turkish feed and feed additive industries with the “LC-MS/MS method in multi-mycotoxin analysis.”

Kartal Kimya, which is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary next year, continues to lead the sector in many areas with the services it provides to Turkey’s livestock industry. Thanks to the expert team and state-of-the-art equipment at F.A.S.T. Lab., operating under Kartal Kimya, it is now possible to obtain clear and definitive results for many analyses that were once deemed impossible in Turkey, without the need to send feed and feed raw materials abroad!

Since its establishment, F.A.S.T. Lab. has meticulously carried out the input control of incoming products and the quality control of products resulting from production. F.A.S.T. Lab. conducts analyses in line with scientific standards by constantly following developments and conducting research in the sectors it serves. It offers analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis solutions using verifiable and standardized methods to guarantee the quality of feed additives and premixes as well as feed safety.

“THE FIRST LABORATORY IN TURKEY’S FEED ADDITIVE SECTOR TO USE THE LC-MS/MS DEVICE”

Within the scope of a TÜBİTAK project carried out with its international partner under Kartal Kimya, F.A.S.T. Lab. became the first laboratory in Turkey to use the LC-MS/MS device and the isothermal method for multitoxin analysis and to analyze the toxin-binding capacity of toxin binders. Additionally, the desorption values of toxin binders were also determined with the isothermal method using LC-MS/MS at F.A.S.T. Lab.

F.A.S.T. Lab. also holds the title of being the first laboratory in Turkey’s feed additive sector to use the LC-MS/MS device. This means that all the analyses that can be performed with this device are now possible in Turkey!

Processes conducted with the LC-MS/MS device include:

- Mycotoxin Analysis:

Analysis of 12 different mycotoxins with a single injection

Detection of toxin-binding capacity and risk of binding to nutrients using the isothermal method

 M1 toxin analysis in milk

- Amino Acid Profile

- Vitamin Analysis (Detection of water- and fat-soluble vitamins in raw materials and feed)

- Anticoccidial Chemical Residue Analysis

“WORLD-CLASS RELIABILITY”

F.A.S.T. Lab. has proven the accuracy of its analyses by successfully passing the FAPAS proficiency tests, organized globally by the Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA) under the UK Ministry of Agriculture. The FAPAS proficiency tests, which are the most crucial part of the ISO 17025 accreditation process for laboratories, determine the reliability level of laboratories producing analysis data.

As you know, the importance of laboratory analyses in the feed and feed additive sectors is immense. Therefore, the analyses that can be performed at F.A.S.T. Lab. gain even greater significance.

These analyses enable:

  •  Determination of product reliability,
  •  Identification of components,
  •  Traceability,
  •  Determination of preservatives used and their levels,
  •  Identification of losses and their levels during production (stability level),
  •  Evaluation of product digestibility and bioavailability,
  •  Determination of compliance with national and international standards,
  •  Verification of label information.

With the services and solutions developed with F.A.S.T. Lab., Kartal Kimya continues to make positive additives for life!
