Scoular and SEADLING have teamed up to offer North American pet food manufacturers a groundbreaking ingredient: fermented dried seaweed powder, known for its numerous health benefits and sustainable production.

Scoular, a U.S.-based pet food ingredient supplier, and SEADLING, a Borneo-based company, have entered into an exclusive partnership to bring fermented dried seaweed powder to the North American pet food market. This innovative ingredient is positioned to improve pet health by supporting skin, coat, gut, and dental health, as well as brain function, bone development, and cardiovascular health. It is also rich in essential minerals and vitamins, including the often-missing vitamin K2 and potassium.

Evan Ibach, Senior Merchant for Scoular Pet, highlighted the rising demand for health-boosting pet foods: “Pet parents increasingly are seeking pet food that boosts pet health and vitality.”

Simon Davis, founder and CEO of SEADLING, emphasized their commitment to sustainable practices, noting that they farm seaweed rather than harvesting it from the wild, which helps protect the marine environment. “Sustainability is the heart of our business,” Davis said, aligning with the growing consumer preference for eco-friendly products.
