With a sprawling expanse of 170,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art plant is poised to manufacture 125,000 metric tons of extruded fish and animal feeds annually. The facility, inaugurated on April 17, 2024, by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, signifies a significant stride in local food production, particularly in meeting the surging demand for protein. Seyi Adeleke-Ige, General Manager of Skretting Nigeria, expressed enthusiasm about the venture, stating, "Opening a facility of this magnitude will ensure we can meet both local demand and that of neighboring West African countries, contributing to the growth of the aquaculture and agriculture sectors of Nigeria and Africa as a whole."
