New plant investment from Balyem in Izmir, Tire region

Operating in Balıkesir within Yırcalı Group, Balyem has started building the new plant in Izmir, Tire region. The plant planned to be completed in 2018 will double feed production capacity of the company.

Having been established in 1968 with the leadership of Yırcalı family and being one of the first feed plants of Turkey, Balıkesir Yem Sanayi A.Ş. (Balyem) has started building its new plant in Izmir, Tire region. Being one of the feed plants with the largest capacity of Turkey, Balyem will double its feed production capacity with the plant expected to be completed in 2018.

According to Sibel Atik’s news in Economist Magazine, there is both feed and transformer plant in Balıkesir which is the homeland of Yırcalı Group which left the year of 2016 behind with an endorsement of 1,7 billion TRY. Rona Yırcalı, the Chairman of the Executive Board announced that the group which started the investment in the new feed plant in Izmir, Tire region will also do business in abroad.

Making production in Balıkesir with Balyem brand, the group has started its new investment in its new plant located in Izmir-Tire OIZ. Rumour has it that they have invested 75 million TRY for the plant which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018. The new plant will produce more than 20 thousand tons of ruminant and ovine feeds per year and double the current capacity of the company. It is aimed that the investment to provide employment for more than 150 employees will increase the efficiency to the regional animal husbandry with value added products.
