IDMA, one of the world’s largest meeting points for milling industry, has returned to Turkey, the homeland of wheat. As a symbol of Turkey’s global prowess in the milling sector, IDMA welcomes thousands of local and foreign investors for the 10th time after fairs in Russia and Indonesia. The three-day fair at the Istanbul Expo Center aims for a $500 million export target.
The IDMA, International Flour, Feed, Semolina, Rice, Corn, Bulgur, Milling Machinery and Pulses, Pasta, Biscuit Technologies Fair, greeted its participants and visitors for the 10th time with a magnificent opening ceremony attended by industry leaders around the world. The bustling halls of the Istanbul Expo Center, hosting over 300 participating companies, witnessed a grand opening that marked the beginning of three days filled with innovation, collaboration, and opportunities.
Ahmet Güldal, General Manager of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO), Dida Gardera, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture Trade of Indonesia, Haluk Tezcan, Chairman of the Turkish Flour Industrialists Federation (TUSAF) Board of Directors, Igor Sviridenko, President of the Russian Flour Mills and Grain Enterprises Association, led the opening of the fair, supported by over 60 associations, unions, and federations. Esteemed figures from the sector, including Aykut Göymen, President of the Turkish Pasta Industrialists’ Association (TMSD), Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, President of the Association of Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD), Suncica Savovic, Director of the Serbia Grains Association, Moulay Abdelkadir Alalaoui, President of the Moroccan Flour Milling Federation, Rodion Rybchinskyi, President of the Union of Millers of Ukraine, Dr. Mahmoud Riad, Secretary General of the Egyptian Milling Association, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bayram, President of TABADER, joined forces for the inaugural ceremony. During his address at the opening ceremony, Muhammet Ali Kalkan, President of HAGE Group, the organizer of IDMA fairs, expressed their anticipation of welcoming approximately 10,000 visitors from 120 countries to the fair. Highlighting the presence of esteemed international figures at the opening ceremony, Kalkan emphasized that this underscores the value, significance, and allure of the IDMA Exhibition.
