Evonik, a global leader in specialty chemicals, has increased the net price of its MetAMINO® (DL-methionine 99% feed grade) by 5–8% with immediate effect. The company confirmed that all existing contracts and supply agreements will be honored. MetAMINO® is a widely used feed additive essential for livestock nutrition. The price adjustment is expected to have cost implications for feed producers globally, particularly in markets sensitive to amino acid pricing. Evonik operates in over 100 countries and generated €15.2 billion in revenue in 2024, with €6.1 billion attributed to its Advanced Technologies segment, which includes feed ingredients.
