Speaking on behalf of İDMA, the main sponsor of the 20th International Congress and Exhibition organised by the Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TUSAF) in Antalya, Kalkan said industry congresses have evolved beyond sector meetings into platforms that strengthen solidarity and long-term relationships across the value chain.

Kalkan said cooperation with the TUSAF community has played an important role in İDMA’s international brand journey, adding that support from Turkish industrial players particularly at overseas events has helped the organisation expand its global reach. He pointed to strong interest shown by sector representatives at the most recent İDMA Russia event.

Kalkan said İDMA is currently the only Türkiye-based international fair organised in different countries under the same brand name. He added that İDMA events are designed not only as commercial platforms, but also as strategic tools that support the export capacity of Türkiye’s milling machinery industry. İDMA will continue to take Turkish manufacturers to new markets through new destinations, Kalkan said, arguing that this approach delivers a direct contribution to sector exports.

İDMA İSTANBUL EYES 15,000+ INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

Kalkan devoted a significant part of his remarks to İDMA İstanbul 2026, scheduled for June 25–27, 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) in Halls 2, 4 and 8, describing it as the largest and most comprehensive gathering within the İDMA event portfolio.

He said organisers are targeting more than 15,000 international professional visitors. İDMA hosted visitors from 96 countries in 2024, he said, adding that the 2026 edition aims to bring together professionals from more than 140 countries in Istanbul.

Kalkan said the show’s programme of events will be used to communicate the technological capability of the milling machinery sector and the performance of Türkiye’s flour industry in production and exports to a global audience. He added that the concurrent İDMA Congress is being prepared together with international representatives, academics and sector organisations, with the aim of delivering a high-value programme that addresses current topics shaping the industry.

Closing his remarks, Kalkan invited Türkiye’s flour industrialists and all industry stakeholders to İDMA İstanbul 2026.
