CPM has launched its first biomass test lab in Asia, located in Singapore, to expand its global testing network. The lab offers comprehensive testing capabilities and training services for industries including animal feed, biomass, and waste processing.
CPM, a global leader in process equipment and engineered technologies, has opened its fourth biomass test lab and the first in Asia. Located strategically in Singapore, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, including a hammermill, pellet mill with feeder-conditioner, ribbon mixer, cooler, and a fully automatic control system. This setup ensures customers can test materials, evaluate technology, and make informed investment decisions.
The lab serves a range of industries, including animal feed, oilseed, biomass, and waste processing, and can handle materials such as steam-exploded wood, torrefied wood, palm kernel, rice husk, and sugarcane by-products. Its strategic location in Southeast Asia simplifies logistics for customers, enabling cost-effective transportation, material clearance, and first-hand observation of testing procedures.
CPM emphasizes customer engagement, offering training programs and access to the assembly plant where clients can examine machine components and deepen their understanding of operations. Post-testing services include detailed reports on pellet characteristics—shape, shininess, PDI, and hardness—and the option for further quality assessments by third-party labs.
Additionally, the lab integrates cutting-edge technology, such as vibration sensors on machine motors and cloud-connected control panels, providing real-time monitoring and maintenance insights. These innovations reflect CPM’s commitment to addressing evolving customer needs and ensuring operational efficiency.
CPM’s new Singapore test lab reinforces its mission to deliver sustainable solutions for global industries. This development joins the company’s existing test labs in the USA and Europe, further solidifying its role as a pioneer in advanced testing and engineering. Founded in 1883, CPM operates in over 150 countries, supporting its vision of a sustainable future through innovative technologies.
