Cargill announced the appointment of Rishi Varma as Chief Legal Officer. He will succeed Anna Richo, who is set to retire in late 2024.

In the latest update, Cargill has officially appointed Rishi Varma as the Corporate Senior Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary, starting January 29, 2024. Varma will also take on the role of General Counsel. This move follows the transition of Anna Richo, who will now serve as Corporate Senior Vice President, Strategic Advisor to the General Counsel and CEO until her retirement in September 2024.
Rishi Varma, previously SVP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, is set to join Cargill as Corporate SVP, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary. Varma, with a background in corporate law and experience in overseeing diverse legal aspects, played a key role in the separation of Hewlett Packard Company. He also served as General Counsel for TPC Group, Inc. and Trico Marine Services, Inc. Varma holds a B.S. in political science and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
