Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) noted that Brazil estimates exports of more than US$100M in international trade for the industrial machinery and equipment sector.

Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) sectoral program has just released a compilation with the export results achieved by Brazilian manufacturers of industrial machinery and equipment in 2022. The initiative is a partnership between ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Between January and the first half of December 2022, 65 companies were served by BMS's support to 16 actions that promoted the national industry at fairs, events and business missions, among others, in more than 15 countries. Sectors such as agriculture, metal-mechanics, textiles, food, plastics, and mining have received what is latest in technology and innovation trends developed by the Brazilian market, according to the needs of global demands.

Exports for this period reached US$22.3 million in one-off deals and US$82.5 million in future transactions. “Some of these negotiations have already taken place throughout the year and others are in the closing phase. Exports have generated around US$105 million, reinforcing the competitiveness of our sector and the potential of the national machinery and equipment industry”, says Patrícia Gomes, chief of Foreign Market at ABIMAQ.

For the coming year, the Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) sector program already has another 16 actions scheduled with the companies that are part of the project.
