“This initiative aims to highlight the exciting opportunity for developing sustainable pet food products,” said Andrew D. Ive, Founder and Managing General Partner of Big Idea Ventures. Elise Malandain, VP R&D at Mars Petcare, added that the program aligns with Mars’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The program is particularly interested in start-ups with novel ingredients, such as upcycled food waste and advanced extraction methods. While APAC-based start-ups are preferred, applicants from all regions are encouraged to apply.
